This fits #30 Under the Rain for the 100 themes challenge.
I realize now that the bg, in relation to the person, is incredibly unrealistic. This drawing has so many errors...I don't know where to begin.
However, I'm not comfortable with editing it yet... Yes, the cloth is really flat and UGLY. Sorry! It's already added to the list of things I need to practice ((right next to pose variety)).
Time elapsed: 3-4 hours.
This is my original character Taniel, a Regulator of Precipitation, specifically rain. He looks kind of like Suigetsu...possibly Riku of KH too, but I'm not familiar with that fandom.
His blood was supposed to be dried, and the rain was making it soluble-whatsits. Bright red didn't seem to fit, that's why it looks like disgusting old ketchup. Yeah. His hair was supposed to be longer too...

I love it like that, especially the dry ketchup blood. XD It doesn't look like ketchup at all mind you. It really looks frightening real, it gave me the shivers, even more so because the wound is at a critical place like that. That's gotta hurt...
I like the character design,too. It's so full of emotion and has it's own characteristics. The face coloration is just so well made, you really chose the right colours. Somehow it reminds me of the Manga Variante although it doesn't have any real likeness.
If you want some advanced critique, I'd say that the shoulders are a bit too flat and undeveloped and something with the direction of the torso is off, the neck and head are really well made, though! And I like the cloth, the way it's only slightly shaded makes it blend perfectly into the background.
Are those feathers in the background?
