Watercolor. Started and completed-ish April 27th,2008 for AP concentration.

It's a butterfly lady...heh. Is it hard to tell that the bg is a pair of wings (specifically the woman's)?

Her name is Psyche.

Anywhosits. I'm pretty satisfied. There are errors, and I'd love it if people pointed them out to me.

Wow, that is *gorgeous*! I love the colors - not too bright, but still colorful - especially all the colors in her hair. The butterflies look really, really real, too. It is a little difficult to tell the background is her wings. When you mentioned it, I saw it right away, but I wouldn't have guessed they were attached if you hadn't. I'd try to add in some small shadows to the wings from her arms, and I think that might help. One other thing, and this just may be my personal preference talking: I adore the amount of detail in the butterflies, but I'm really distracted by them. I find myself staring at them instead of the butterfly lady. I would suggest trying to put a little more detail in her face, but it sounds like you're feeling pretty done with this painting, and I definitely know that feeling. x) Fantastic job, though! :D

Aw, no problem! I was just complaining to someone the other day that not many people on deviantart give actual critiques, and then I'm like, wait. I don't do that either. xD

I'm glad I could help. :) You've got a ton of talent, dude! Plus watercolor is such a bear, intricate stuff like this in watercolor never ceases to amaze me. You must have a lot of patience. :P

I am the opposite of patient...impatient! XD Haha. I get tired of paintings really, really quickly and I have a pile of them I haven't bothered to finish (left for dead).

Oh yesh. I added the changes and I love it more now. People still find the woman's wings hard to see though... I'll update the image once it's final. :D
